The Redz BBQ legacy began back in 1997 and was a vision in the mind of our founder “Red the Bar-B-Que Man”. Red the Bar-B-Que Man is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and began cooking for family and friends at a young age. After traveling extensively throughout the United States, Red settled back in his hometown of St. Louis and took the advice of family members to start his own restaurant.
Red, one of the most humble people you would ever want to meet, states there is no real secret to making great barbeque. Preparation, seasonings and tasty sauces are the keys to having great bar-b-que. Red says, “When a person has a passion for what they do, then success is inevitable and my passion is preparing meals on the grill”.
Red and his new management team have created a new look and feel for the Redz BBQ brand and are excited about the new opportunities to serve more customers in more locations. With customer service and the creation of a pleasurable dining experience also at the top of the priority list, Redz BBQ has become one of the premiere bar-b-que restaurants in the St. Louis Metro area.
“Red the Bar-B-Que Man” is still doing what he enjoys most, creating the best tasting bar-b-que meals possible. Red brought together a young professional management team that is responsible for the day-to-day operations and together they have created the “Best Thing Smokin”.
